Now I'm addicted to this game: Metapet. It's a neat little game that simulates a company work environment with you as the manager of a genetically engineered worker. It is based on things that happen in the real workplace, where employees are judged according to their looks, they can become undisciplined, start a union, and start emailing nasty stuff to your boss, etc.

Now, I've gleefully become the pointy headed boss of metapets. How much money can you make from your Metapet? One quit on me already -_-;

At first, I almost busted a gut laughing at this parody of Monkey Island 2 - Outtakes: http://www.fragile-minds.com/movies/monkey2/
so innocently enough, I decided to go visit the hosting site - i-mockery.com to find ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

....I need to go scrub my brain clean now....if you have a really corrupt, disturbed mind, and I'm warning you! check out the Cho aniki game series page.....what was the Japanese company on when they made that game?!

Out damned spot, out!

Monday, February 9, 2004: 04:10 p.m.

L'Arc's "Ready Steady Go" tune is pretty good - it's also the 2nd opening song of Full Metal Alchemist Woohoo!
That is such a great series, I think the anime is actually better than the manga in some respects cuz it manipulates the FMA timeline for the best angst effect and revs up the sequence of events.

The karaoke version, or the real music video is cute, with cartoon L'arc characters. Hyde still sings too fast for me to catch up to him. ^.^;

Taking 2.5 classes now...am getting busier. And I need to sell my stuff! Anyone want manga? Oh yea, you can have my Young Magician manga Tetchan! Where can I mail it to though, you still haven't given me a mailing address yet! Have you fallen into the big Cheese abyss and can't find your way out? What's in Wisconsin besides cows, milk and cheese?

Is it me, or ppl send me crack?
The tune is quite catchy really.

    http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~thoureau/japanese.html
This is just really funny cuz it's so sarcastic.

Got the Kill Bill Soundtrack with never seen before trailers! Who's that stereotypical martial arts master/old dude with the long white beard?

    *gasp*
    Wednesday, August 13, 2003: 08:34 p.m.

It's amazing! The 12 Kingdom novels are going to be translated by Del Rey!!! Does this mean the Vampire Hunter D novels will one day be picked up too?!

I wanna kick someone's butt. anyone's. even a poor mistreated furry creature's. I feel mean right now. it's just one of those days when someone who shouldn't be able to get under your skin, does. How some ppl in this world are so stubborn and bitchy, I'll just never know. I tried this stress reliever: "Slap da ho" and it does help a bit. =P

    And...I got Muraki *sweatdrop*
    Like Muraki, we only wish.
Like Muraki, you will never actually lose your eye,
but everyone will wish that you had. Keep it
concealed until you need it to mezmerize
someone. The object of your affections will
surely fall at your feet soon -- even if you
have to club him over the head to get him
    there.

Mona Lisa Smile movie trailer! I've seen the shoots from afar, I wonder how much made it into the movie?

    You are Rue-chan!
You are Rue-chan, the alter ego of Princess Kraehe
(Claire). You have a fairly good concept of
what is going on around you, but you can't seem
to sort out your own feelings.

Which Princess Tutu character are you? Version 1.0

I got a 2nd degree burn on my arm. It's my first somewhat bad burn and looks like a huge blister about to pop and pus. nice, huh?

    I'm senile!
    Sunday, July 27, 2003: 04:10 p.m.

I have incontrovertible proof now! Dammit, sometime in college, my brain became irretrievably rotted through with holes. I'll post the short stories I wrote in high school soon and you can compare it to the ones I wrote in college. >.<; I don't even recognize the ones I wrote in HS, but they were so much better in quality than the scraps of ideas I jot down today. In fact, those are college-level writing while the ones I write now are stuck at junior high level. I blame college...and my hair color treatment at the salon. Those hair helmets really bake your brain. I'm surprised I haven't lost more brain cells as it is. Hm, can I blame it on alcohol too?.

    While entombed in darkness,
the dawn peeks through the cracks
    of ancient rooms.
    Movement.
    Eyes opening to drink in
the slice of white light that glowed at its feet.
Crying, the soul finally screamed for release.

A tear glistens on a leaf
    of a solitary rose.
    Silence echoed.
    Forgiven, wings burst forth
to fly into the freedom of a new day.

    chai chai chai
    Friday, July 25, 2003: 12:19 p.m.

I can't get enough of it! And it's all due to having one Vanilla Chai Frap at Starbucks. After that I was hit with a veritable wave of chai this and chai that. There was a show the next day on how to make chai and chai ice cream. I just made the ice cream the other day and it's absolutely delicious! *in heaven* Just mix one cup of chai with half a gallon of ice cream (i made smaller portions of course, don't want to be a piggy). I'm also experimenting with bubble tea. I have the tapioca pearls and a few flavors, but I need to find taro, mango and green tea powders for it. Anyone have any ideas where i can find them?

    Warning: Venting below!!

Isn't it ridiculous that the RIAA is suing not only kids who share MP3s but also their parents? They're going after blood money since they know kids are too poor to pay for what, thousands of dollars for all the songs they pirated? I'm so glad that MIT and BC are fighting the subpoenas. You can't give any group the right to sue everyone anywhere and basically force them to settle because they don't have the money to hire lawyers and fight them off in court. And I have to say, there are really STUPID kids out there that need protection. They don't give a damn about what's happening and are still swapping music like crazy. Like some idiot back in our alma mater, who was quoted in the multiple newspapers and online news sites saying snippily: "I'm not going to stop downloading music until I know one of my friends gets issued a subpoena." Yea, bitch, wait until reality slams down on your ass like a megaton bomb. She even gave out her full name, age, and college info! What a dumbass; it gives the rest of us a bad name. I wince just thinking about it because it's my dept that will have to deal with the aftermath. At least it's not as bad as the Rolling Stones articles on depraved orgy parties on campus.

    *kapow!*
    Wednesday, July 23, 2003: 05:29 p.m.

ok, bad news first. it looks like i'm not going to be staying for all 3 days of Shoujocon. I have to train ppl on Sunday so I need to leave early Saturday and I don't know if my boss will let me take Friday off so I can attend. bah humbug!

anyone heard of Friendster? it's some sort of online chat and messaging program; now you too can make friends online! reduce your friends to numerical digits to count off at whim! i guess blogging is not enough. maybe i'll give it a try.

in other news: i've got a really neat idea for a new web site design. hold your breath until you see it!

    wow, an update!
    Saturday, July 19, 2003: 01:53 p.m.

    Quote of the day:
"Don't worry, you'll definitely be invited to my wedding(s). Plural cause life is like Windows, you never know which version you're going to get :)"
    That's hilarious! - In a geeky sense. Am I officially a nerd? =P

Oooo, Pirates of the Carribbean! It is too FUNNY! Especially Johnny Depp - this is HIS movie. Everyone's really pretty in the movies (well just the main characters) and the swordplay is very well choreographed. Just the opening of the movie is well worth it. The way Depp makes an entrance - hahhahahaha! And Orlando is as pretty as always. Too bad he's so typecast in his role, he could have done more. As for Kiera, she makes a cool heroine. I'm so glad they expanded her role from eye candy to sassy lady pirate. Although, where'd she learn to fight with a staff? And I would have chosen Depp over Bloom while abandoned on that remote island in the movie. Hmm, actually Depp's char is such a fancy prancy gay pirate, that I wouldn't be able to stop myself from slapping him sometimes. =P Anyways, I want to see it again because I missed an extra scene that was shown at the end of the credits ;_; I shouldn't have left at the beginning of the creds!

    Guess what my mom is doing now? She's asking around and seeing if she can introduce me to her friends' sons. Then she starts asking about all my male friends and if they had contacted me recently and if I'm going to see them soon yada yada. >.< They're friends! I tend to be socially inept and quite shy but why is she doing this?! It's embarrassing to the extreme. >.<;

Princess Tutu and the 12 Kingdoms are great series I just finished watching. Princess Tutu is such a sweet slightly sappy shoujo series but it also reminds me of the Utena series' style. Very silly and artsy but in a light-hearted fairy-tale way. Fakir is way too cool for the series *hearts* Heh, I don't like the prince of the series! Take that you stereotypical would-be princesses!

    spizzerinctum
    Friday, May 16, 2003: 09:10 a.m.

Saw Matrix 2! My fav funny quote: "(Speaking French) is like wiping your ass with silk." Love the intonation on that. Didn't catch the other curse phrase - what was the translation for that? I wasn't with anyone who knew French.

Call out to the sci/fi group who dressed up to go see the movie! You rock! There were also some really good costumes at the theater.

All in all I liked it for the action and special effects but there was almost NO PLOT. A lot of new characters are introduced. I loved the old Asian KeyMaker guy - he's too cute! I mean that he's cute in a lovable way like for puppies and kittens that you just want to go "awww" at, not cute as in he's hot! A lot of things in the movie was just so overdone like having too much action - some battle sequences look very familiar (as in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon familiar). Oh yeah, stay until after the credits roll and you'll see a preview for the next movie.

    I went to the Wednesday special preview showings and boy was it crowded. 75% of the audience were male and we had to wait a long time for the movie to start. You know it's sad when you hear the audience start cheering for a certain soda in a Coke commercial race between Cherry Coke, regular Coke, diet Coke and Sprite on a beach. The commercial played 3 times and it's the same commercial each time but ppl kept cheering for another soda when of course we know what will win. -_-;;

spizzerinctum: "Ambition; the will to succeed." Sounds funny doesn't it? Like a cross between spit, fizz, and rectum ...- ok, forget what I just wrote.
If I say: "I have a spizzerinctum," will ppl look at me funny?

    slap to da head
    Saturday, May 10, 2003: 07:51 p.m.

did karaoke with the club on fri~ heh, utterly amused by the impromptu YATTA! dance ensemble. Mei-san and Bina unfortunately arrived a bit too late for that. It's funny, when I first saw the vid, I was horribly traumatized by the sight of 5 grown Japanese men dancing around with only leaves over their crotches (each man has a big fig leaf pasted on top of a nude colored briefs). Now it's funny for words ^.^ In the tradition of the YMCA dance vid, GO!
